The E.B Indie Film Festival, a non-profit organization, aims to encourage and showcase emerging filmmakers. Our goal is to provide a professional and educational space for young filmmakers to have the opportunity to connect and grow with one another. We are seeking independent student works from a variety of genres that explores new perspectives.
WHERE IT STARTED
The E.B Indie Film Festival founders Emily Eng and Kevin Lin both met at Rutgers University Mason Gross School of the Arts when they were studying for Digital Filmmaking back in 2016. After several years of working alongside each others film projects they realized the little opportunities for young artists to showcase their work in their hometown of East Brunswick. They recognized the abundance of talent located in the center of New Jersey that encouraged them to start this film festival and make a space for filmmakers and audience members.
After studying and living in East Brunswick, New Jersey for most of their lives they want to be able to give back to their community through the arts and provide the resources and educational opportunities. They believe that film is a strong visual language that can connect people and make change. E.B Indie would like to create initiatives to celebrate those artists and help build a community for young storytellers.
